What does Nuxa actually do?
You write notes however you like. After a short pause, Nuxa produces a polished version beside yours and fills the Advice panel with a checklist, gaps, action items, and questions to ask. You decide what to keep.
Do I need an AI subscription?
No. You can use a Claude or ChatGPT plan you already have, a Gemini sign-in, a free-tier key from providers like NVIDIA, or Ollama, which is free and runs entirely on your Mac.
Which AI should I choose?
For the best results, Claude or ChatGPT. For free and fully private, Ollama. Nuxa’s setup walks you through it and tests the connection.
Is my data private?
Your notes are stored as files on your Mac. When you use AI, only the page you’re working on goes to the provider you chose. Private notebooks are never sent. With Ollama, nothing leaves your Mac at all.
Can I import from OneNote?
Yes. Sign in with Microsoft and Nuxa imports notebooks, sections, pages, dates, images, and tables. Handwritten ink can’t be converted and is listed in the import report.
What else can I import?
Evernote, Notion, Apple Notes, Google Keep, Obsidian, Bear, Joplin, Logseq, Simplenote, plus Word, PDF, HTML, Markdown, and text files.
