    Sign in with Microsoft

    Nuxa opens Microsoft's sign-in page with a code to type. Sign in with the account that has your notebooks. Nuxa can only read notes.

    Pick your notebooks

    Tick the notebooks to bring in. Importing again later only brings what changed.

    Bringing your notes in…

    Nuxa reads your OneNote notebooks and adds each one as its own notebook. You can stop, and importing again later carries on.

3What comes across, and what doesn’t

When the import finishes, Nuxa shows a report of what came across, and anything it couldn’t convert, with why.

Comes across

  • Notebooks, section groups, sections and pages
  • Subpages
  • Tables
  • Images and attached files
  • Created and modified dates

Doesn’t come across

  • Handwriting and drawings that OneNote can't export as images
  • Anything OneNote's service doesn't hand over (listed in the report)

4Troubleshooting

Tap a problem to see the fix.

Step 1 Sign in with Microsoft

The page asks for a code
Nuxa shows the code and copies it for you: paste it on the Microsoft page.
My work account says I need admin approval
Your organization controls which apps may read OneNote. Ask your IT team, or export from OneNote and use Word/PDF/other files.
I signed in with the wrong account
Click Sign Out, then Sign in with Microsoft again.

Step 2 Pick your notebooks

A notebook is missing
Only notebooks in your OneNote account (OneDrive) show here. Open the notebook in OneNote once so it syncs, then click Check again.
It says Microsoft is busy
Microsoft limits how fast notes can be read. Nuxa waits and carries on by itself.

Step 3 Bringing your notes in…

It's taking a long time
Big libraries with many images take a while. You can keep working; stop and resume any time.
I stopped it by mistake
Click Resume: Nuxa carries on without reading everything again.

Step 4 Your notes are in

Some notes are missing
Check the list of things that weren't converted. Exports sometimes leave out notes the app keeps elsewhere.
I imported the wrong thing
Each OneNote notebook became its own Nuxa notebook: delete the ones you don't want (⌘Z undoes it). Importing again later only brings what changed.

Any step Something else

I'm not sure which app I'm coming from
Pick Word, PDF & other files for loose documents, or Starting fresh.
macOS asks for permission
Nuxa asks before reading a folder or another app's notes. Click OK; nothing happens without your click.
Nothing seems to happen
Click Back and try the step again. If you're stuck, click Get help — it tells us which step you're on.
