Open Notion

Nuxa opens Notion's help page on exporting. Then open Notion.

Export all workspace content

In Notion, open Settings ▸ General ▸ Export all workspace content. Choose Markdown & CSV, include subpages, and click Export. Save the .zip in Downloads (big workspaces arrive by email).

Choose the export

Choose the .zip Notion made. Nuxa offers the newest one in Downloads.

Bringing your notes in…

Nuxa reads your Notion notes and adds them to a new notebook, “From Notion”. You can stop and resume.

3What comes across, and what doesn’t

When the import finishes, Nuxa shows a report of what came across, and anything it couldn’t convert, with why.

Comes across

4Troubleshooting

Step 1 Open Notion

I'm not the workspace owner

Only owners can export a whole workspace. Export the pages you need from each page's ⋯ menu instead.

Step 2 Export all workspace content

The export arrives by email

Open the email from Notion and download the .zip into Downloads.

There are several zips

Choose the outer .zip; Nuxa opens the ones inside.

Step 3 Choose the export

Pages are missing

Export again with Include subpages switched on.

Nuxa doesn't suggest my file

Click Choose the Export… and find it yourself; it's usually in Downloads.

Step 4 Bringing your notes in…

It's taking a long time

Big libraries with many images take a while. You can keep working; stop and resume any time.

I stopped it by mistake

Click Resume: Nuxa carries on without reading everything again.

Step 5 Your notes are in

Some notes are missing

Check the list of things that weren't converted. Exports sometimes leave out notes the app keeps elsewhere.

I imported the wrong thing

Delete the “From Notion” notebook (⌘Z undoes it) and import again.

Any step Something else

I'm not sure which app I'm coming from

Pick Word, PDF & other files for loose documents, or Starting fresh.

macOS asks for permission

Nuxa asks before reading a folder or another app's notes. Click OK; nothing happens without your click.

Nothing seems to happen

Click Back and try the step again. If you're stuck, click Get help — it tells us which step you're on.
