Open Evernote

Export each notebook

In the sidebar, click Notebooks. Right-click a notebook ▸ Export notebook…, choose ENEX (.enex) and save it in Downloads. Repeat for each notebook.

Choose the export

Choose the .enex files you exported (you can pick several). Nuxa offers the newest ones in Downloads.

Bringing your notes in…

Nuxa reads your Evernote notes and adds them to a new notebook, “From Evernote”. You can stop and resume.

4Troubleshooting

Tap a problem to see the fix.

Step 1 Open Evernote

Evernote isn't on this Mac

Install Evernote from evernote.com and sign in, or export from evernote.com in a web browser.

Step 2 Export each notebook

I don't see Export

Update Evernote, then right-click the notebook in the Notebooks list (not a note).

Only 100 notes export at a time

Export whole notebooks rather than selected notes: notebooks have no limit.

Step 3 Choose the export

Nuxa says the file can't be read

Export again as ENEX (.enex), not HTML.

Nuxa doesn't suggest my file

Click Choose the Export… and find it yourself; it's usually in Downloads.

Step 4 Bringing your notes in…

It's taking a long time

Big libraries with many images take a while. You can keep working; stop and resume any time.

I stopped it by mistake

Click Resume: Nuxa carries on without reading everything again.

Step 5 Your notes are in

Some notes are missing

Check the list of things that weren't converted. Exports sometimes leave out notes the app keeps elsewhere.

I imported the wrong thing

Delete the “From Evernote” notebook (⌘Z undoes it) and import again.

Any step Something else

I'm not sure which app I'm coming from

Pick Word, PDF & other files for loose documents, or Starting fresh.

macOS asks for permission

Nuxa asks before reading a folder or another app's notes. Click OK; nothing happens without your click.

Nothing seems to happen

Click Back and try the step again. If you're stuck, click Get help — it tells us which step you're on.
